Unknown gunmen assassinate citizen in Abyan

ABYAN, July 11 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Saturday by unknown gunmen in the city of Lawdar in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, which is under Saudi control.

Local sources reported that unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on the citizen, Mohammed Nasser Samqa, killing him instantly.

The sources added that the gunmen fled to an unknown location, and the reasons and motives for the incident are still unclear.

Like other areas under Saudi control, the districts of Abyan Governorate are witnessing an unprecedented state of security chaos.
