TEHRAN, July 08 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi affirmed that his country will not conclude any final agreement with the United States unless Israeli occupation forces withdraw from Lebanese territory.
He emphasized that the resumption of negotiations is contingent upon the implementation of the clause pertaining to Lebanon in the Memorandum of Understanding.
Araqchi clarified that the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces is a fundamental condition for reaching an agreement, reiterating Tehran’s refusal to enter into final negotiations while threats against it persist, as stipulated in Article 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding.
In a post on the “X” platform, the Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that threats will not intimidate the Iranian people or its armed forces, citing the massive public gathering of millions of Iranians to honor the “martyred leader and his immortal legacy” during the funeral ceremonies.
