IRGC warns of harsher response to any enemy miscalculation

TEHRAN, July 03 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Friday that any miscalculation by its enemies would be met with a decisive response “more severe than ever,” while calling on the Iranian people to attend the farewell ceremony for the late Sayyed Ali Khamenei in large numbers.

In a statement issued on the occasion of Khamenei’s farewell ceremony and published by Iran’s official news agency, the IRGC said that “the magnificent funeral ceremony is not merely a farewell, but a great renewal of the pledge to authentic Islam, the lofty principles of the Islamic Revolution, and the continuation of the path of the martyred leader.”

The statement added that “the pure blood of the martyred Imam has stirred in the veins of faithful fighters across the Islamic world, especially among the awakened Iranian people, a call for vengeance and a sacred covenant to continue the path until the fulfillment of the true Qur’anic promises.”

It further claimed that, just as the blood of Imam Hussein laid the foundation for the Ashura civilization, the blood of the martyred leader would open a new chapter of global awakening and Islamic unity while instilling despair in the United States, Israeli entity, and their regional and international allies.

The IRGC said that, together with Iran’s other armed forces and homeland defenders, and under the leadership of the successor to the late leader, it remains at full combat and ideological readiness. It warned the “enemy front” that any miscalculation would be met with a decisive response “more severe than ever before” and would become another chapter in the enemy’s history of humiliation.

The statement stressed that this state of readiness is not merely a military display, but a declaration of the anger of a revolutionary nation seeking retribution against all forms of oppression and aggression.

The IRGC concluded by urging the Iranian people to participate massively and enthusiastically in the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies as a demonstration of national unity, awareness, and steadfastness before the world.

It said such participation would represent not only a final farewell but also a declaration of determination to continue the late leader’s path, adding that a turnout of millions would send a powerful message to Iran’s adversaries.
