Iran’s FM warns external interference undermines regional stability
TEHRAN, July 03 |(YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through an inclusive approach free from any external interference.
In a post on X, accompanied by a photo showing U.S. Central Command officials meeting with military leaders from several regional countries, Araghchi asked, “Has U.S. Central Command brought security or insecurity to our region? The answer is clear.”
He added, “Likewise, our powerful armed forces have proven that outsiders are incapable of even protecting themselves,” in an apparent reference to the losses the U.S. military suffered during its recent aggression with Iran as a result of Iranian military strikes.
Araghchi’s remarks referred to the conflict that, according to the statement, began on February 28 when the United States and Israeli occupation launched a military campaign against Iran that lasted 40 days and targeted schools, hospitals, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure, resulting in thousands of civilian casualties.
The statement added that, in response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli entity and U.S. military bases in the region.
