Sana’a Foreign Ministry Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Negotiating Position
SANAA, June 29 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s support for the Palestinian factions in defending the rights of the Palestinian people at the negotiating table, following what it described as their defense of those rights on the battlefield.
In a statement, the ministry said it is closely following the ongoing negotiations in Cairo between the Palestinian factions, mediators, and guarantors of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. It expressed concern over the Israeli occupation’s continued violations of the agreement and efforts to undermine it by imposing a new reality on the ground.
The ministry said continued pressure on the Palestinian side serves occupation’s interests and contributes to achieving its objectives in the Gaza Strip.
It warned that the continuation of the occupation’s intransigence and acts of genocide could lead to renewed escalation and a collapse of the current process.
It called on mediators and the international community to pressure the occupation to abide by the ceasefire agreement and fully implement the first phase before moving to the second stage.
The ministry also reiterated Yemen’s support for the Palestinian cause, affirming its backing for the Palestinian people until they regain their legitimate rights and establish an independent state with Al Quds as its capital.
