OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 28 (YPA) – Two Palestinian citizens were killed and two others injured in separate violent incidents on Sunday in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, bringing the death toll from internal violence within the community to 132 since the beginning of the year.
In the coastal city of Jaffa, a young man was killed and a child was injured following a car bomb explosion on Sunday morning. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical services reported that the victim was found unconscious inside the vehicle with fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police forces and bomb disposal experts cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the blast.
Separately, 19-year-old Bakr Naseerat was shot dead and another individual was critically injured during a shooting incident early Sunday in the city of Tayibe, located in the Southern Triangle region. Naseerat succumbed to his wounds shortly after the attack, while the injured person was evacuated for emergency medical treatment.
The latest fatalities underscore a sharp rise in organized crime and gun violence affecting Arab towns and cities in the occupied territories. Community leaders and rights groups have frequently criticized Israeli occupation police enforcement, alleging systemic failure to curb criminal organizations and solve rising homicide cases.
