Six killed in armed attack on security headquarters in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, June 28 (YPA) – At least six people, including three security personnel and three attackers, were killed Saturday evening in an armed assault targeting a paramilitary headquarters in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, officials said.

The clash erupted inside and around the local headquarters of the Sindh Rangers, a paramilitary force under the Ministry of Interior responsible for domestic security and border protection. Sindh Inspector General Javed Alam Odho confirmed that three militants were neutralized during the engagement.

Witnesses reported hearing a powerful explosion in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar neighborhood, followed by approximately 15 minutes of heavy gunfire along a major thoroughfare. Thick smoke was also observed rising from the scene.
