HEBRON, June 24 (YPA) – Four Palestinian citizens suffered wounds, contusions, and suffocation on Wednesday due to an attack by armed Zionist settlers targeting homes and lands in the areas of Wad al-Rakhim and Khallet al-Homs in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
The assault involved spraying citizens with pepper gas, uprooting 40 olive trees and 20 forestry trees, and blocking a road connecting the two areas.
This incident occurs amidst an escalation in settler attacks; data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission revealed 1,659 attacks carried out by the occupation forces and settlers during last May (including 551 by settlers).
These attacks were heavily concentrated in the Hebron Governorate, which recorded 146 incidents, and overall resulted in the uprooting and destruction of 7,222 trees, including 3,317 olive trees.
