WEST BANK, June 21 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched a wave of arrests and raids across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank early Sunday, storming homes, conducting searches, and detaining residents, according to Palestinian sources.
According to Palestinian sources, Israeli occupation forces detained seven Palestinians during predawn raids across several areas of the Ramallah governorate.
The detentions took place after Israeli forces stormed and searched their homes.
The Prisoners’ Media Office reported that Israeli occupation forces arrested Dr. Mazen Al-Rantisi after raiding his home in the Al-Tireh neighborhood and Taysir Abu Sharbak from Al-Amari refugee camp in Al-Bireh.
According to the same sources, two Palestinians were also detained in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, after their home was searched.
Local sources said that two brothers were arrested during a raid on their home in the town of Qaffin, north of Tulkarm
Sources added that Israeli forces detained two children during an incursion into Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
During a military incursion into the Al-Juneid neighborhood in Nablus, Israeli forces vandalized and destroyed a memorial dedicated to a Palestinian who was killed.
According to Palestinian sources, the troops tore down photographs and damaged the site during the early morning raid.
Separately, clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces during a raid on Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, southwest of Jericho, where stun grenades were fired. No arrests or injuries were reported in the incident.
