Death toll from Israeli aggression on Lebanon mounts to 4,057

BEIRUT, June 20 (YPA) – The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 4,057 martyred and 12,121 wounded, according to figures released on Saturday by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

In its daily statistical report, published by the National News Agency, the ministry said that 77 people were killed and 120 others injured during the past 24 hours.

The report added that casualties among healthcare workers have reached 135 killed and 405 wounded as a result of 175 aggressive attacks on ambulances and medical teams.

Since early March, Israeli aggression has intensified across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, leading to thousands of casualties and the displacement of an estimated 1.5 million people, many of whom remain outside official shelters.

Although a temporary ceasefire took effect in mid-April, reports indicate that the Israeli occupation’s violations have continued on a near-daily basis.

Last Thursday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the Islamabad memorandum of understanding had been signed electronically between the United States and Iran and included provisions for a ceasefire across multiple fronts, including Lebanon.
