Five Lebanese civilians killed in Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, June 20 (YPA) – At least five Lebanese civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon on Saturday, just hours after a ceasefire went into effect.

The National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes and drones carried out a series of raids on the Nabatieh area overnight and into the morning, destroying residential buildings and homes.

Israeli artillery also shelled Nabatieh and its surrounding areas before dawn.
