BEIRUT, June 19 (YPA) – At least 18 people were killed and 33 others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in southern Lebanon early Friday, the Lebanese Health Ministry’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center said on Friday.
In a statement carried by the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), the center said the casualties were reported across several towns in southern Lebanon, including Harouf, Doueir, Sharqiyeh, bbassiyeh, Qatrani, Jibchit, Nabatieh, Kfar Sir, Qaaqaait al-Jisr, Jebchit and Habboush.
In the Jezzine district of southern Lebanon, an Israeli drone strike in the Rihan area killed one person and injured another, NNA reported.
According to the latest official figures, Israeli military aggression in Lebanon since March 2 has killed 3,912 people, injured 11,873 others and displaced more than one million residents.
