Iranian Foreign Minister discusses Islamabad MoU with Lebanese officials

TEHRAN, June 16 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate telephone conversations with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, during which he briefed them on the details of the provisions of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), particularly those concerning Lebanon.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Araghchi emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s keenness to bring a complete end to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, noting that this matter has been included in the provisions of the MoU.

For their part, the two Lebanese officials welcomed the provisions of the recent memorandum, expressing their appreciation for Iran’s inclusion of the issue of ending the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in the text of the MoU.
