BEIRUT, June 10 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah said on Wednesday that it carried out a series of military operations against Israeli occupation forces in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the Party affirmed that rocket and drone attacks were used against the occupation’s troop concentrations, military vehicles, and positions.
According to the statement, Hezbollah fighters struck gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles near Yahmar al-Shaqif with multiple waves of rockets and artillery shells since early morning.
It also reported hitting an Israeli military transport vehicle on the Sala hill in the town of Al-Qantara using a drone, claiming it was destroyed after a direct strike.
In the same area, another drone was said to have targeted a Israeli communications vehicle, while a separate strike hit a tent sheltering soldiers on the eastern outskirts of Zoutar.
Hezbollah further stated that it targeted a newly established position of the occupation forces’ 401st Armored Brigade near Debal using coordinated drone attacks, in addition to strikes on other troop gatherings and vehicles in Yahmar al-Shaqif and Al-Bayda.
It said its operations were in response to alleged Israeli violations of ceasefire arrangements and continued attacks on southern Lebanese villages.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported difficulties in containing the confrontation and warned of a prolonged war of attrition. Reports also cited figures indicating rising Israeli military casualties since the escalation of fighting along the southern Lebanon front.
