NABLUS, June 6 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces and settlers, on Friday, prevented dozens of Palestinians from reaching the historic Beit al-Sheikh Mosque in Khirbet Tana, east of Nablus, and performing Friday prayers.
Local sources told Sanad News Agency that worshippers were forced to pray under the sun at the entrance to the village after roads were closed.
It should be noted that the mosque, dating back to the Ottoman era and 250 years old, is the last remaining structure in Tana after 13 demolitions that targeted homes, tents, and barracks.
Since the displacement of Tana’s residents last January, the Popular Committee has maintained a presence in the village to prevent the confiscation of its lands, amidst ongoing harassment from a settler named “Kobi,” who has established a grazing outpost and whose cattle damage the residents’ crops.
