Hezbollah destroys Israeli vehicles on outskirts of Zoutar al-Sharqiya, forces occupation forces to retreat
BEIRUT, June 02 (YPA) – The Lebanese Resistance, led by Hezbollah, launched a series of military operations on Tuesday in defense of the country and its people, and in response to the Israeli occupation’s violation of the ceasefire and its attacks targeting southern villages, which have left a number of martyrs and wounded among civilians.
In military statements, the Lebanese Resistance announced the targeting of an Israeli “Nemera” vehicle on the southeastern outskirts of the town of Zoutar al-Sharqiya using an “Ababil” loitering munition (suicide drone), which led to it catching fire.
The Resistance confirmed targeting a second occupation vehicle of the same type on the southeastern outskirts of Zoutar al-Sharqiya with an “Ababil” loitering munition, scoring a direct hit. It also targeted an occupation “Merkava” tank on the southeastern outskirts of Zoutar al-Sharqiya with an “Ababil” loitering munition, and the tank was seen burning.
According to the military statements, an occupation “Nemera” vehicle was targeted on the southeastern outskirts of Zoutar al-Sharqiya with an “Ababil” loitering munition, achieving a confirmed hit, alongside the destruction of an Israeli “Merkava” tank after it was targeted at dawn in the Al-Balou’ area in the town of Hadatha with direct rockets.
The Resistance explained that this “Merkava” is the third to be targeted following the continuation of the confrontation against an occupation “army” force that attempted to advance into Hadatha yesterday, Monday.
As part of the ongoing confrontation in the town of Hadatha, from yesterday, Monday, until 03:00 AM on Tuesday, the Resistance targeted gatherings of the occupation “army” in the Al-Balou’, Al-Qanater, and Al-Mal’ab areas with consecutive salvos of rockets and artillery shells.
The Resistance confirmed that it forced an occupation force to halt its advance and withdraw, noting that during the occupation’s withdrawal at 03:00 AM, the Resistance detonated an explosive device against a military vehicle.
The Resistance added that during this confrontation, the occupation carried out a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling on the operations area to cover its withdrawal toward the town of Rashaf.
In a related context, the Military Media of the Islamic Resistance published footage of the operation targeting the settlements of “Nahariya”, “Karmiel”, Safed, and “Kiryat Shmona” in northern occupied Palestine with rocket salvos, dated 30-05-2026.
Meanwhile, the occupation “army” acknowledged yesterday, Monday, the killing of a military doctor in the “Givati” Brigade with the rank of Captain, and the injury of 7 others, including 4 officers and a battalion commander, in an attack carried out by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon using explosive-laden loitering munitions.
In its reports, the Israeli “army” admits that “Hezbollah’s drones have become a real threat to it,” and that deepening the “ground maneuver” has failed to prevent the launching of loitering munitions toward troop gatherings or toward northern settlements.
