TEHRAN, May 23 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi affirmed on Saturday that Iran will not abandon its support for resistance movements, foremost among them Hezbollah in Lebanon.
In a message to the party’s Secretary-General, Naim Qassem, he stated that Tehran has linked any understanding with Washington from the outset to a ceasefire in Lebanon, and emphasized this in its latest proposal, submitted through Pakistan, for a permanent end to the war.
Araqchi considered the inclusion of Lebanon in the truce a firm principle and a legitimate demand for Iran and its people.
