Yemen reaffirms support for Lebanon in message to Hezbollah official
SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – Yemen’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, sent a letter to Ammar al-Mousawi, head of international relations for Hezbollah, addressing the latest developments in Lebanon.
In the message, Abu Ras denounced the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon, saying they had caused civilian casualties and extensive damage to homes, infrastructure, and public facilities.
He praised the steadfastness of the Lebanese resistance and its role in confronting the aggression, stressing that the Lebanese front represents a key line of support for the Palestinian cause and a major front in the broader regional confrontation.
Abu Ras stated that the current escalation in the region is linked to the broader Zionist plans targeting the region and seeking to reshape the Middle East.
He reiterated that resistance remains the most effective means of confronting occupation and defending national sovereignty, adding that peoples who maintain their right to resist are capable of countering external domination and aggression.
The deputy foreign minister also described Hezbollah’s weapons as a source of strength against Israeli aggression, emphasizing the importance of preserving them rather than dismantling them.
He further stressed the need for Lebanese unity and focusing efforts on confronting the common enemy represented by Israeli entity.
Abu Ras concluded by reaffirming Yemen’s support for the Lebanese people and Hezbollah in the face of ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
