About 2,896 citizens martyred in ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon

BEIRUT, May 13 (YPA) – At least 2,896 citizens have been killed and 8,824 others injured as a result of Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2, 2026, according to the latest figures released on Wednesday by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

In its daily statistical report, published by Lebanon’s National News Agency, the ministry said that 27 people were killed and 94 others wounded over the past 48 hours as a result of ongoing Israeli aggression.

Since early March, the Israeli occupation’s strikes have intensified across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, according to Lebanese authorities.

The aggression has reportedly caused hundreds of deaths, thousands of injuries, and the displacement of nearly 1.5 million people, many of whom remain outside official shelter centers.

A temporary ceasefire agreement came into effect in mid-April, but Lebanese officials accuse the Israeli occupation of continuing to carry out daily violations of the truce through airstrikes and shelling operations.
