Death toll of Israeli aggression on Gaza rises to 245,271 martyrs, wounded

GAZA, May 09 (YPA) -The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday, that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 72,736 martyrs and 172,535 wounded since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Strip, the ministry explained that Gaza hospitals received 5 martyrs (4 new martyrs, 1 recovered martyr) and 15 wounded during the past 48 hours.

It revealed that since the ceasefire on October 11, the total number of martyrs killed by Zionist enemy fire has reached 850, the total number of wounded 2,433, and the total number of martyrs recovered 770.

“Many victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them at this moment,” the ministry added.

It noted that 103 martyrs were added to the cumulative statistics after their data was completed and approved by the Martyrs’ Accreditation Committee since the beginning of May.
