Al-Houthi calls on Canada to open embassy in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 6  (YPA) – Head of the supreme revolutionary committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthis called on Sunday the state of Canada to open an embassy for it in the capital of Sanaa.

“We call on Canada to open an embassy in the capital of Sanaa,” Mohammed Ali al-Houthis said on his Twitter account, adding that instead of the State that took a humiliating stance against it by expelling its ambassador and cut the relationships and ties.

He indicated that Saudi Arabia expelled the Canadian ambassador and cut ties with Canada, because of its calls on  Saudi authorities to release civilian activists.

“If all the principles were not there and still one justification remains, it would enough for the Yemeni people to reject the foreign intervention in its internal affairs of any regime, ” he added.

He called on Saudi authorities to release all civil society activists, including  the 96 detainees held in Saudi prisons as the infographic shows.
