Video shows Abduction of acting executive director of Social Fund in Aden

ADEN, May 04 (YPA) – A video circulated on Saturday showed the initial moments of the abduction of Wissam Qaid, the acting executive director of the Social Fund within the pro-Saudi Aden government, in central Aden, southern Yemen.

The footage reportedly captured armed men in black military-style uniforms stopping his vehicle in the Enma area, before one of them forced him out of his car and took him to an unknown destination.

In a subsequent development, Qaid was later found dead inside his vehicle in the Al-Haswa area. The identities of the perpetrators remain unknown, with reports indicating they were traveling in a dark blue Hyundai Accent.

The incident comes amid a worsening security situation in Aden, marked by growing concerns over targeted killings and a surge in instability. It has also prompted accusations from figures within the Southern Transitional Council against pro-Saudi-aligned forces, alleging a resurgence of assassinations and armed activity in the city.
