Death toll of Israeli aggression on Lebanon reaches 2,679 martyrs

BEIRUT, May 03 (YPA) – The death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon has risen to 2,679 martyrs and 8,229 wounded since the start of the Zionist escalation on March 2nd.

In its daily statistical report, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the toll for the past 24 hours reached 20 martyrs and 46 wounded.

It confirmed that the recent aggression caused the destruction of 16 hospitals and the closure of three others.

Since March 2nd, the Israeli enemy has escalated its aggression, targeting Lebanese towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in hundreds of martyrs, thousands of wounded, and the displacement of approximately 1.5 million Lebanese citizens, the majority of whom are not registered in shelters.

It is noteworthy that the temporary ceasefire agreement came into effect in mid-April, but the Israeli enemy army continues to commit daily violations of the agreement.
