BEIRUT, April 30 (YPA) – The Lebanese Army announced on Thursday the killing of one of its soldiers, along with several members of his family, following an Israeli occupation’s airstrike that targeted their home in the town of Kafarman in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s National News Agency, citing the army, reported that a hostile Israeli raid struck a residential house in Kafarman–Nabatieh, resulting in the death of the soldier and a number of his family members.
Since March 2, the occupation forces have intensified their military operations across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure.
The escalation has led to thousands of casualties and injuries, as well as the displacement of approximately 1.5 million Lebanese civilians.
Although a temporary ceasefire agreement came into effect in mid-April, Lebanese sources report that the occupation forces continue to carry out daily violations of the truce.
