GAZA, April 29 (YPA) – The Hamas Movement has warned against an escalation in home and property demolitions carried out by Israeli forces in occupied city of Al-Quds, calling on the measures part of a broader campaign aimed at undermining the Palestinian presence in the city.
In a statement on Tuesday, the movement said demolition notices affecting dozens of residential and commercial structures—particularly in al-Ram, Kafr Aqab, and Qalandiya—reflect an ongoing assault on Jerusalem’s surrounding communities intended to impose new demographic realities.
It argued that the accelerated pace of demolitions constitutes a serious violation of international law and norms, and described it as an extension of displacement and ethnic cleansing policies targeting the city in the absence of effective international deterrence.
The movement also called on the international community and concerned states to take urgent action to halt the demolitions and to apply pressure on the Israeli government to end measures affecting Palestinians on a daily basis.
Finally, it reaffirmed its position that Al Quds city remains Palestinian land, stressing the Palestinian people’s attachment to the city and their determination to confront the ongoing attempts at displacement and Judaization.
