BERLIN, April 16 (YPA) – German government data has revealed the approval of military export licenses to “Israel” totaling €6.6 million ($7.8 million) between February 28 and March 27, 2026, coinciding with the onset of military confrontations with Iran.
According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, in response to inquiries from the Left Party, these approvals were limited to “other military equipment” and did not include heavy weaponry such as tanks or artillery.
This figure remains relatively low compared to the €167 million approved over a four-month period following the lifting of prior restrictions imposed by Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s government during the Gaza war.
