GAZA, April 16 (YPA) – Large-scale demonstrations held on Thursday across the Gaza Strip’s provinces to mark the national day of the Palestinian prisoner, with widespread participation from prisoners’ families, political factions, and human rights organizations.
The main march in Gaza City proceeded toward the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross, featuring Palestinian flags and images of prisoners, alongside calls for their release.
Participants voiced strong support for the prisoners, condemned violations inside the prisons, and warned against the consequences of the so-called execution law, emphasizing its violation of international law and its potential to escalate tensions.
Speeches by national and Islamic leaders, including representatives from both Fatah and Hamas, highlighted the central importance of the prisoners’ cause and called for immediate international efforts to halt abuses and protect their rights.
