Saudi Arabia reveals first official contact with Iranian officials

RIYADH, April 10 (YPA) – The Saudi Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday the first official communication between Saudi and Iranian officials since the onset of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran.

According to a statement, the Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

During the conversation, they discussed the current situation and explored ways to de-escalate tensions, aiming to restore security and stability in the region, the Saudi statement said.
