TEHRAN, April 10 (YPA) – Leader of the revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a statement on Thursday on the occasion of the forty-day anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
In his statement, he addressed the ongoing developments of the imposed war, emphasizing the critical importance of maintaining popular participation on the ground, as witnessed in recent weeks.
Sayyed Khamenei affirmed that at this stage of the “third holy defense,” it is clear that the Iranian people stand as the true victors. He noted that the forty-day mark follows one of the gravest crimes committed against Iran and Islam, as well as one of the most severe trials faced by the Iranian nation.
He described this anniversary as a solemn remembrance of the martyrdom of the revolution’s leader and “leader of the Islamic nation,” highlighting the late figure’s esteemed status among martyrs and the divine closeness bestowed upon his soul.
Despite the heavy losses suffered during the attacks, Sayyed Khamenei praised the continued presence and resilience of various segments of the population, along with leaders and Mujahideen, on the battlefield.
He stressed that the Iranian people transformed this conflict into an epic of steadfastness, turning their grief over the loss of their leader into a source of strength and perseverance.
Sayyed Khamenei observed that the enemy, despite its superior military capabilities, appeared powerless and taken aback by the steadfastness of the Iranian people—a resilience that resonated with and earned admiration from the free world. He added that the adversaries’ errors have paved the way for a new phase in Iran’s rise to power.
Leader Khamenei explained that Iran’s influence has extended beyond its borders, reaching the hearts and minds of its supporters worldwide, driven by divine support and adherence to the guidance of the imams.
In a message directed to the Gulf states, Sayyed Khamenei urged neighboring countries to carefully assess the current situation and choose their positions wisely. He warned against placing trust in the promises of major powers, emphasizing that Tehran awaits tangible actions that demonstrate goodwill and reinforce brotherly relations.
He underscored that Iran will not overlook any aggression inflicted upon it and will seek reparation for the harm caused to the nation and its people. At the same time, he reaffirmed that Iran does not seek war but will steadfastly defend its rights.
Additionally, Sayyed Khamenei announced plans to develop the administration of the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that the coming phase will bring significant changes in this domain. He concluded by emphasizing that the resistance fronts constitute a unified entity.
