10 Palestinians killed in ‘massacre’ by pro-Israeli occupation militias in Al-Maghazi camp in Gaza
GAZA, April 07 (YPA) – The Gaza Center for Human Rights has strongly condemned a massacre committed by armed militias operating under the protection of the Israeli occupation army in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.
The attack resulted in the killing of 10 civilians and left dozens more wounded.
On Monday evening, an armed group infiltrated a densely populated area in the western part of the camp, launching assaults against local residents.
According to the center, Israeli military drones provided heavy suppressive fire to secure the militia’s withdrawal, directly contributing to the high casualty count.
The center has documented recurring crimes by these proxy groups, including armed robbery of humanitarian aid, abductions, torture, and extrajudicial killings.
The report emphasized that these operations are carried out under the “direct support and cover” of the occupation forces.
The Gaza center stressed that the use of militias within civilian areas constitutes a grave violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
The center held the occupying power fully legally responsible for these breaches and has called on the United Nations to launch an independent investigation, hold perpetrators accountable, and provide immediate international protection for civilians in the Gaza Strip.
