OCHA: Gaza’s needs still far exceed what aid organizations can provide

NEW YORK, April. 07 (YPA) – The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed that the needs of the population in the Gaza Strip far exceed what relief organizations can provide, given the strict Israeli restrictions and other obstacles.

In a statement, the office stated that half a million people in Deir al-Balah and al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis were unable to fully access drinking water as a result of an Israeli airstrike on March 25.

It said that UN organizations have succeeded in restoring access to clean water in the southern Gaza Strip, but there is an urgent need to facilitate the work of humanitarian partners and allow a wider range of vital goods into the Strip through the available crossings.

It is worth noting that the Israeli enemy army is committing daily violations of the ceasefire agreement and preventing the entry of most humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
