Mahra residents hold mass rally against Israeli violations, Al-Aqsa Mosque closure

MAHRA, April 04 (YPA) – A massive protest rally was held on Friday in Mahra province, east of Yemen, condemning ongoing Israeli occupation’s actions against the Palestinian people, amid rising tensions following the passage of the “Execution of Prisoners” law and the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In the rally, participants denounced also the law as “a blatant violation of international law and treaties, aimed at legitimizing extrajudicial killings.”

The protesters also criticized the continued restrictions on Al-Aqsa Mosque, describing its closure and the ban on worship as “a direct attack on religious freedoms and the sanctities of the Islamic nation.”

They called on the international community to “fulfill its legal and moral obligations and take decisive action to halt these violations,” stressing that “supporting prisoners and defending holy sites is a religious and moral duty that admits no compromise.”

Concluding the rally, the people of Mahra affirmed that the march represents a principled and enduring stance, reflecting collective awareness, a firm rejection of injustice, and a commitment to truth and justice.
