Amazon in Bahrain plans to leave the region after its cloud services disrupted by Iranian attack

MANAMA, April. 03 (YPA) – The Iranian Revolutionary Guard succeeded in disrupting the cloud services of the American company “Amazon” in Bahrain, after the attack that targeted the company’s cloud computing center in this Gulf country.

In a statement, Cloudflare, a company specializing in monitoring global internet traffic, reported that Amazon’s cloud services (AWS) in Bahrain went offline after the attack.

It noted the disappearance of data traffic for the service in Bahrain and a significant increase in connection errors.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had targeted and destroyed Amazon’s cloud computing center in Bahrain, in the first action against intelligence technology companies.
