Woman killed in Gaza, as Israeli artillery shelling breaches truce on day 175

GAZA, April 02 (YPA) – Field escalation continued on Thursday in the Gaza Strip as 175 days pass since the calm agreement.

Palestinian citizen Rawan Fayyad was martyred by Israeli enemy fire east of Al-Maghazi camp, amid rising tensions along the eastern regions of the Strip.

Central Gaza witnessed intense gunfire from Israeli enemy vehicles across several eastern axes, with shelling targeting the east of Al-Bureij camp and Juhor ad-Dik.

Gaza city also witnessed continuous artillery shelling targeting Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and eastern areas.

In Southern Gaza, the occupation forces opened machine-gun fire east of Khan Younis, injuring three citizens, including a child.

According to data, the cumulative toll since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,289 martyrs and 172,040 wounded. Since the ceasefire agreement on October 11, 2025, 713 martyrs have been recorded amid ongoing breaches, demolition operations, and field escalation along the “Yellow Line.”
