Iran denies role in Kuwait desalination plant attack, blames Israeli enemy escalation plot

TEHRAN, March 30 (YPA) – Spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, denied on Monday any Iranian involvement in the attack on a desalination plant in Kuwait.

In a new statement, Zolfaghari held the Israeli enemy responsible for the attack, alleging the strike was intended to falsely implicate Iran.

He described the incident as “evidence of the enemy’s decadence and malice,” adding that it reflected ongoing efforts to escalate tensions and destabilize the region.

Zolfaghari further warned that US military bases, personnel, and interests in the region—as well as Israeli enemy’s military, security, and economic infrastructure—would remain potential targets for Iranian forces.

Zolfaghari also urged countries in West Asia to remain vigilant against attempts to incite conflict, calling for an end to US and Israeli military presence in the region.

Tehran maintains that hostile forces are seeking to create discord between Iran and its neighbors by attacking civilian infrastructure and blaming Iran, particularly after failing to achieve their objectives through direct aggression.
