Saudi-backed Homeland Shield Forces assault elder citizen in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, March. 28 (YPA) – Citizen Salem Ali Doman was assaulted and beaten, on Saturday, by armed members of the Saudi-backed “Homeland Shield” (Deraa Al-Watan) forces in the city of Seiyun, the center of Hadramout valley districts in eastern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses reported that members of “Homeland Shield” arrested Doman, 65, while he was in a café near Al-Tawila Park in Seiyun, following his criticism of the deteriorating living conditions.

The witnesses confirmed that the armed men took Doman away in a humiliating and violent manner, assaulting him with rifle butts before transporting him in a military vehicle to an unknown location.

The assault sparked widespread outrage among the residents of Seiyun, who demanded an immediate investigation and accountability for those involved in the attack on Doman, condemning the disregard for his advanced age and human dignity.
