Israeli occupation kills 51 medical personnel in strikes on Lebanese health sector

BEIRUT, March 28 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Health Minister Rakan Nasser Eddine said on Saturday that Israeli occupation forces had carried out 75 strikes targeting the health sector across Lebanon, including five reported attacks on Saturday alone.

During an emergency press conference, he stated that nine hospitals have been destroyed or directly hit, while five others have been forced out of service since March 2 due to the ongoing hostilities.

The minister added that the impact of the attacks has extended across all civilian sectors.

He also reported that 51 medical personnel have been killed, including 46 paramedics, alongside attacks on 18 ambulances and damage to 48 others.

The minister stressed that such actions represent a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
