Leader in dissolved STC announces that “Al-Alimi” will not return to Aden

SHABWA, March. 27 (YPA) – A prominent leader in the “dissolved” Southern Transitional Council (STC) published shocking statements regarding the return of the head of the “leadership council” affiliated with Saudi Arabia, Rashad Al-Alimi, to the city of Aden in southern Yemen.

The head of the “dissolved” STC branch in Shabwa, Lahmar Ali Laswad, confirmed in a post on the “X” platform that “Al-Alimi will not set foot in the city of Aden or any area in the southern governorates.”

“Al-Alimi is not a politician or a decision-maker, but rather was used for a specific stage, and with the end of this stage, his usefulness will expire,” he added.

He also stated that Al-Alimi will remain in his position in Riyadh until he is dismissed, emphasizing that his place is “reserved,” just like those who preceded him and whose terms have expired, in a clear reference to Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, and other leaders who were removed and placed under house arrest by the Saudi authorities in Riyadh.
