Israeli occupation escalates repressive violations in West Bank

RAMALLAH, March 20 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation escalated on Friday its attacks in various areas of the West Bank, in a scene dominated by tension and repression on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

In Jenin refugee camp, Israeli occupation forces prevented residents from accessing the Martyrs’ Cemetery on the outskirts of the camp. Soldiers deployed around the cemetery and forcibly removed residents, preventing them from visiting the graves of their loved ones on this day of particular significance for Palestinians.

In a related incident, Israeli forces raided the town of Ajja, south of Jenin, and stormed several homes, though no arrests were reported. Meanwhile, raids continued south of Nablus, with Israeli forces, supported by several military vehicles, storming the towns of Huwara and Osarin.

Palestinian media reported that Israeli soldiers raided homes in the Al-Sawabna neighborhood of Huwara, searching them and damaging some of their contents. Israeli soldiers also deployed throughout the streets of Osarin, restricting residents’ movement and bringing daily life to a near standstill.
