Iran threatens regional oil facilities if strikes on its energy infrastructure continue

TEHRAN, March 24 (YPA) – Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the IRGC’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, issued a warning that was later republished by Iranian media.

In a statement, he said that if even the “smallest attack on the energy infrastructure and ports of the Islamic Republic” takes place, it would trigger a “crushing and devastating response” from the Islamic Republic.

According to him, “In the event of such aggression, all oil and gas infrastructure in the region in which the US and its Western allies have an interest will be set on fire and destroyed.”

In a notable military development, the spokesperson also confirmed that Iran had successfully targeted ten strategic locations associated with Israeli leadership, in addition to three key gathering centers used by US forces deployed in the region.

The remarks signaled what appeared to be an expansion of operations aimed at leadership and command structures of adversaries.

The spokesperson stressed that previous warnings had now entered the stage of “field implementation,” warning that any US action targeting the core of Iran’s economy would inevitably destabilize the region’s oil security.

In the brief statement, the official added that Iran’s new strategic equation links the security of its national facilities with the safety of US investments across the region, placing international economic interests at risk in the event of further military escalation.

The spokesperson further said that combat readiness had reached its highest level to confront any scenario that could threaten the country’s sovereignty or vital resources.
