Gaza: Death toll from Israeli aggression surpasses 72,000 as recovery efforts continue

GAZA, March 03 (YPA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the total death toll from the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,116 martyrs, with 171,798 injured, amid a deepening humanitarian catastrophe and the collapse of the healthcare system.

During the past 24 hours, the bodies of 18 martyrs arrived at hospitals following continued shelling.

Crews recovered 753 bodies of individuals killed previously, while thousands remain missing under the debris.

Additionally, 631 martyrs and 1,700 others have been recorded since the ceasefire was declared on October 11 amid continued violations.

Medical teams emphasized that official figures do not reflect the full scale of losses, as many victims remain unreachable in destroyed areas due to severe equipment shortages, signaling an ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
