Lebanon Hezbollah downs Israeli drone, targets two Merkava tanks

BEIRUT, March 03 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah declared on Tuesday that it had carried out a series of military operations in southern Lebanon, including the downing of an Israeli drone and the targeting of two Merkava tanks on separate fronts.

In a statement, the group said its fighters shot down an Israeli reconnaissance drone at 12:30 p.m. while it was flying over the city of Nabatieh, using “appropriate weapons.”

In a separate statement, Hezbollah reported targeting a Merkava tank at the al-Samakah site in the occupied Kfar Shouba hilltops, claiming a direct hit.

The group added in a third statement that its fighters later struck a second Merkava tank in the Tel Nahas area on the outskirts of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon, also describing the attack as a precise and direct hit.
