IRGC shoots down Israeli Hermes 900 drone

TEHRAN, March 03 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it had downed a Hermes 900 drone operated by the Israeli enemy before it could carry out its mission, stating that the aircraft was seized intact and fully equipped.

In an official statement, the IRGC said the drone was brought down during defensive operations conducted by its aerospace force using a modern air defense system, adding that the aircraft is now under the control of its personnel.

The statement further noted that the drone has been handed over to specialized experts and engineers for technical examination and further study.

On Saturday, the United States and Israeli enemy launched what Tehran described as a new offensive against Iran, resulting in hundreds of civilian casualties.

In response, Iran announced the launch of Operation “True Promise 4,” targeting sites inside Israeli enemy and U.S. bases in the region.
