Russia warns of “strategic consequences” over escalation against Iran, calls for immediate diplomacy

MOSCOW, Feb. 28 (YPA) – The Russian Foreign Ministry warned on Saturday of the grave dangers posed by continued military escalation and the American-Israeli aggression against Iran, emphasizing that the “logic of force” threatens regional stability and risks expanding the conflict globally.

In an official statement, Moscow called for an “immediate return” to political and diplomatic channels and a cessation of military operations, holding Washington responsible for the deteriorating situation.

Russia further stressed that the only path forward lies in respecting national sovereignty and international law, expressing its readiness to facilitate peaceful solutions to defuse the unprecedented tensions.
