Iran’s President condemns Israeli-US attack on Girls’ School

TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (YPA) – Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday condemned an inhumane attack on a girls’ school in the city of Minab, calling for the immediate mobilization of all relevant authorities to assist the injured.

In a statement, Pezeshkian expressed his “strong condemnation” of the incident and extended his “deepest condolences” to the families of the victims, the residents of Minab, and the Iranian people at large.

He affirmed his solidarity with those affected and urged medical and relief agencies, as well as local officials, to deploy all available resources and prioritize continuous follow-up on the condition of the wounded and support for their families, according to Sputnik.

The president said the attack at The Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab district, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of dozens of students following an attack by U.S. and Israeli forces on civilian sites, had deeply affected the nation and “all free people around the world.”

He characterized the attack as a “barbaric act,” calling it another dark chapter in what he described as a long record of crimes committed by the aggressors, adding that such events would remain in the historical memory of the Iranian people.
