STC militants loot properties of African migrants in Lahj

LAHJ, Feb. 27 (YPA) – A number of African migrants, on Thursday, were subjected to robbery and theft by armed men at a checkpoint belonging to the “dissolved” Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Lahj governorate, southern Yemen, local sources reported.

According to the sources, the African migrants, who are of the Oromo ethnic group from Ethiopia, were robbed of all their belongings while passing through a checkpoint belonging to these forces in Al-Habilayn area of ​​Radfan district.

Activists on social media posted a video showing part of the robbery and assault to which the migrants were subjected, amid widespread public outrage over these practices.
