LONDON, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The British “Financial Times” newspaper has reported a significant surge in U.S. military build-up across the Middle East, noting the arrival of massive fighter jet reinforcements at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, as well as bases in Jordan.
According to military officials and experts who reviewed recent satellite imagery, the reinforcements include:
- Fighter Jets: A substantial numerical increase to support potential offensive and defensive operations.
- AWACS: E-3 Sentry airborne early warning and control aircraft.
- Strategic Transport: C-130 and C-5 aircraft for the mobilization of equipment and personnel.
Observers suggest that this mobilization aims to assemble a “formidable air force” in preparation for a potential military campaign that could last several weeks, amid escalating regional tensions and readiness for a possible confrontation with Iran.
