Israeli forces raid Balata refugee camp in Nablus, advance towards Joseph’s Tomb

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Palestinian media reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out, on Tuesday, a large-scale military raid on the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, in a move described as a new escalation that increases security tensions in the city.
 
According to Palestinian media, the raid focused on the eastern part of Nablus, where forces stormed Balata refugee camp and deployed throughout its neighborhoods amidst a state of high alert, coinciding with military movements around the area of ​​Joseph’s Tomb.
 
Reports indicated that the operation was accompanied by a heavy deployment of military vehicles on several axes, leading to a state of anticipation and anxiety among residents in light of escalating raids witnessed in West Bank cities and towns recently.
 
This move comes in the context of a continuous escalation in Nablus, amid fears of widening confrontations and rising tensions in the city and its surroundings.
