Gaza death toll rises to 72,073: Health Ministry says

GAZA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli occupation’s offensive has risen to 72,073 people killed and 171,756 injured since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical update on casualties resulting from the ongoing military campaign in the Gaza Strip, the ministry reported that hospitals recorded seven new injuries over the past 24 hours.

It also stated that since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 615 people have been killed by the occupation’s fire, 1,658 have been wounded, and 726 bodies have been recovered.

According to the report, many victims remain trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, as ambulance and Civil Defense teams are unable to reach them.
