Israeli attacks target areas in southern, eastern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Feb. 19 (YPA) – Lebanon witnessed a series of Israeli attacks on Thursday targeting areas in the south and the Bekaa Valley in the east of the country, in continued violation of the ceasefire agreement.

In the south, Israeli occupation forces targeted the outskirts of the town of Yaroun with seven artillery shells. An Israeli tank also fired two shells at an uninhabited house in the Zqaq area on the outskirts of the town of Aitaroun, according to Lebanese sources.

Israeli occupation forces also fired bursts of machine gun fire towards the Khiam plain from the newly established Israeli position of Hamams, before targeting the plain again with several artillery shells.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli aircraft dropped a sonic bomb over the border town of Adaisseh.

In the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, Israeli occupation warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the Shaara hill near the town of Nabi Chit.
